Everyday Chocolate Cake/Everyday Chocolate Cake Recipe

I'm a chocoholic by birth I'm crazy for chocolates and so chocolate cake has to be my favourite..I always bookmark the recipes i love and the list keeps getting longer by the day.I had bookmarked this recipe long time back just happen to check the long bookmark list few days back and found this .The best soft melt in mouth cake i ever tested .. .This cake calls for dutch processed cocoa and I tried this with normal unsweetened cocoa so had to use only baking soda and no baking powder as mentioned in the recipe ..I was a bit sceptical of how will the cake rise and so many questions but it was amazing...The cake as perfectly baked and was very soft and delish ..I gave my neighbors and cousins too and they too loved it..The best part was my cousin's baby who is just 7 months old too enjoyed it..I actually gave her aunt ot taste and she just put a small bite in her mouth baby loved it and cried for more she had one slice which is really a compliment..

 Ingredients:
1.5 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 large or 2 small eggs
1 cup buttermilk (milk +2 tbsp lime juice)
1/2 cup butter
2 tbsp oil (optional)
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda

 Method:
Cream the butter and sugar till smooth and fluffy.
Add the eggs and whisk till everything mixes.
Add the buttermilk, oil if using, vanilla extract and whisk well.
Fold in the sifted flour and cocoa powder and mix well .
Preheat oven at 180degree for the 10 minutes .
Pour the batter in  greased cake tin lined with parchment paper .
Bake at 180 degree Celsius for 55-60 min or till toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Allow to cool completely before slicing it.
Enjoy this soft and delish cake

Hello as a learner and anxious to try your recipes its a personal request from many of people like me,once you please specify how many grams your cups flour sugar and butter weigh becomes very very difficult trust me when we put in efforts and things go wasted do please

Gloria Fernandes said...

sorry to say but many were and are still comfortable with measurement in cups ..not everyone use/have a weighing scale...
190 gms flour ,100 gm butter,200 g brown sugar ,100 gm sugar.....
