Basic Pizza Dough Recipe

Pizza is everyone's fav..But the key to good pizza is a good dough .A well kneaded soft dough results in perfect pizza. You can either blind bake the pizza first or yo could bake the pizza with the toppngs .I prefer baking the base first.Like if i'm making pizza for dinners I start preparing the dough and bake the base and keep it ready .I also keep my pizza sauce ready so i have less work in the evening I just assemble the pizza and bake it till the cheese melts.Saves a lot of time. You could freeze the dough too but I always prefer using fresh dough. If freezinng dough you just need to remove it out from the fridge and let it rise for an hour and then bake.
I have included some stepwise pics for ease of understanding the process.

Ingredients:
3 cups flour
3/4 tbsp yeast
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar

Method:
Mix the salt and flour in a bowl.

Add yeast to lukewarm water with 1 tbsp sugar and let it sit for 3-4 min till it turns frothy.

Mix the yeast to the flour and knead ,you'll see the dough is sticky.
Add the melted butter and milk and knead , slowly add the oil and knead well till the dough is smooth and elastic .
Cover the dough with cling foil and allow it to double .It may take an hour or two.
Punch down the dough and divide into two equal half
With the rolling pin flatten the dough.Place the pizza base on pizza tray lined with parchment and bake for 8-10 min at 180 degree Celsius .You can flip the base and cook on the other side.

Spread the pizza sauce ,cheese and your fav toppings and bake the pizza till the cheese melts..I'll post the recipe of this yummy cheesy pizza very soon.Do come back to check the post.

Sorry I beg to differ. Pizza is not our fav. In fact it's hardly eaten except every few months once. But certainly good to learn on how to make the dough. Definitely I can now tell my friends how to make.

Pizza is something that is not really accepted at home so I make it very rarely. Recently only realised that it is best to bake the base first and then do all the toppings. lovely post dear...
