Hi I tried this recipe using pizza cups dough recipe it was ver soft and delicious but even after giving milk wash it didn't get brown from the top can you help me with this or is it that because I used pizza cups recipe and not pizza recipe for the dough

Gloria Fernandes said...

Thank you for the feedback..No it's not because of pizza cups or pizza dough recipe, for the browning part keep the upper element/rod of the oven on for last 5 minutes of baking ..or if you eat eggs mix egg in milk and use this to brush instead of milk wash ..

Just one more query,in my haffele oven it gets baked in 10 mins but I don't find any option where the oven is on and the last 5 mins can change the oven setting...so should I stop the oven after 5 mins and change it to top rod at 180 and baked it,but will the buns get cooked if I keep only the top rod on.there will be egg smell if I do egg wash

Gloria Fernandes said...

Ok if the buns get cooked in 10 minutes you can do as you said .. but if using egg wash You will get brown colour without putting the upper rod on ..mix egg with milk no smell will come you just need to brush little,If using egg wash ,check if has browned on top if not then only put the upper rod on
