1/2 kg Mutton/goat meat
1 cup dessicated Coconut
2 onions
1medium tomato
1 1/2 cup coriander leaves
1/2 cup mint leaves
6 to 8 green chillies
1 tsp peppercorns
1 tsp jeera/cumin seeds
7 to 8 garlic cloves
1 1/2 inch ginger
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp poppyseeds
1 maggi cube/stock cube
salt
oil
2 bay leaves
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
Method
Cut the mutton pieces ,wash and drain excess water
Apply salt lime and turmeric powder and keep aside for 2o to 30 minutes.
Mean while prepare the masala
Fry the sliced onions till brown and keep aside.
Roast the coconut till brown and keep aside
also dry roast the poppy seeds cumin and sesame seeds .
Grind onion coconut,poppy seeds sesame seeds together to a smooth paste.
Grind chilli, onion ,ginger garlic coriander mint leaves to a smooth paste.
Heat the pressure cooker ,add oil then add bay leaves .
Add chopped tomatoes and saute until mushy
Add the mutton and saute for few minutes.
Then add the ground green masala paste and saute for few minutes
Add the coconut onion paste and mix well.
Saute on medium flame for 5 to 6 minutes.
Add potatoes ,stock/maggi cube garam masala powder and water.
Close the pressure cooker lid and cook until done it may take around 12 to 15 minutes or 3 to 4 whistles.
Release the pressure ,open the lid
add garam masala powder and seasonings ,if required.
Serve with rice/paratha/roti bread
