Whole Wheat Cookies/Eggless Whole Wheat Cookies.

This festive season why don't u try making some eggless whole wheat cookies which are
so simple to make and they just melt in your mouth..I have never tried baking with whole wheat flour before so I thought of trying  small batch of  whole wheat cookies .To my surprise  the outcome was delish and we simply loved it...
I added cornflour to get that melt in mouth effect .If you wish you can use half cup flour and half cup hole wheat flour. You can garnish with pista or any other nut you prefer.I used almonds as I like the flavor of roasted almonds.

Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour/atta
1 tbsp cornflour
1/2 cup/100 gm butter
1/4  cup plus 1 tbsp powdered sugar
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Method:
Sift the whole wheat flour and the cornflour together and keep aside
In a bowl whisk the butter and sugar till creamy.
Add vanilla extract (if using) and cardamom powder
Mix in the sifted  flour and mix till its well combined.
The dough will be soft.
Shape into small balls and press the chopped nut on the cookie.
Place the cookies on baking tray lined with parchment/foil.
Pre heat the oven for 10 min at 170 degree Celsius
Bake for 15- 20 min.
Remove and let it cool on a wire rack.
Store in airtight container.

Lovely cookies Gloria. Is a typing error in the sugar measurements? Thank you for linking the recipe to the Diwali event. My blog has quite a few technical problems which I am not able to solve. Need professional help which I will try and deal with it after Diwali festival. In the meantime my daughter's advise is to click on the date of the last comment and the comment form may appear.
