Pizza Cups Recipe/Cheesy Pizza Cups Recipe

how to make pizza cups
These pizza cups are so delicious and very easy to make ..they were literally pillow soft...I have shared many pizzas before and there are so many in my drafts as well ..so thought of sharing these yummy pizza cups first..these are soft and utterly delicious...I have tried and kept it very simple...I always use my homemade pizza sauce s for pizza/pasta but was very bored to make it from scratch so I used this quick no cook pizza sauce which comes handy to make a quick pizza..These pizza cups are so good to serve too no need to cut the pizza just put them in muffin moulds and you have yummy cheesy pizza cups ..I have always baked the pizza base first but here I have baked it all together and   it took me just 18 minutes. It make take 18-22 minutes depending on the oven.

Since I had some tandoori chicken already made i just cut in small bits and used it for filling..Using mozzarella and Parmesan cheese makes these pizza cups even more yummy but if you cant find it you can use the pizza cheese which is available easily or even use Amul  or cheddar cheese..You can use any filing for these pizza cups if you are a vegetarian use paneer tikka  in place of tandoori chicken it will turn out to be great.Do try these yummy pizza cups and let me know.Your kids are going to love them.

I have used my no fail basic pizza dough recipe for this only thing i changed was i didnt add milk instead added more water and 1 tbsp milk powder to the dough..I made pizza with half of the dough and the remaining half i used to make these pizza cups.

Hi Anonymous.
Using wheat flour alone will definitely change the texture..use half wheat flour and all purpose flour.you can bake and keep it in the fridge and reheat it when you want to have it but the cheesy effect I'm not sure will retain..

If you make it with wheat flour alone it won't be pillow soft ..add maida and wheat flour in equal amount.theae pizza cups taste best when served warm because of the cheese oozing out but if you want to pack it fir lunch Box then don't add mozzarella cheese bake and keep it in tge fridge and just grate some processed cheese over the cups while you serve. You can bake a day ahead and store it in the fridge..

Hi am a big fan of this recipe,I tried it and if was very soft wondering if I can use this dough recipe for buns or stuffed buns as it's soft, because it is not getting brown from the top for Buns even after do I milk wash please reply and will the texture and the buns will remain as soft as they are after cooling and after a day or two

Gloria Fernandes said...

You can use the dough for Stuffed Buns as well or check my other recipes like caterpillar buns or rose rolls ,you can use veg filling for them ..for browning part I keep the upper element/rod of the oven on for the last 5 minutes ..you can store these in air tight container and keep it in tgw fridge and warm in microwave or in an oven at 150 degree Celsius for 10 minutes without preheating,it will be as freshly baked .

Hi I tried this dough recipe and made buns out of it,but it didn't come as pillow soft as when I made the pizza cups why???

Gloria Fernandes said...

You must have not kneaded the dough well..This dough gives soft buns or rolls or cups .. kneading the dough smooth and soft is very important.

I needed well it could be that I kept the bun tray on the topmost rack closer to the top rods instead of middle rack as there wasn't Browning happening, and in my oven it gets ready in 10 minutes and kne more thing 250grams of flour is correct as two cups of flour right??? Should I bake it in the centre rack again Browning problem after doing milk wash as I can't use egg....help

Hello this I superb, but only problem I faced is my cups were sticking to the pan and not coming out easily as I don't have a nonstick pan,I greased it with oil but still sticking so can I put paper cups below and then put dough will that help,or will the baked cups will be sticking to the paper cups after baking

Gloria Fernandes said...

No dear don't use paper cups .You can use silicone muffin moulds if you have.If grease well the cups shouldn't stick actually .

Can I make this in my cooker? Can I avoid yeast? Any alternative?

Gloria Fernandes said...

Yeast is necessary for this.
If you have baked cakes or muffin in cooker or open pan you can try this too
